Cutroom edits video on your iPhone, and that is where your video stays. This page says what the app does with your material and what goes over the network.

Your recordings stay on your phone
Clips you import are copied into the app's own storage, so the project keeps working if the original file moves or is removed. Everything after that — cutting, cleanup, captions, export — happens on the device. Your footage, your audio, your captions, and your corrections are not uploaded to us.
What the app downloads
The first time you use captions, cleanup, or filler detection, Cutroom downloads what that stage needs. Those downloads fetch the working parts of the app, not your media.
Subscriptions and payments
Cutroom Pro is bought through the App Store as a subscription. Apple takes the payment, and we never receive your full payment-card details: the card and the billing address stay with Apple.
To know what a subscription entitles you to, the app uses RevenueCat. RevenueCat processes an anonymous app-user identifier, your purchase and entitlement status (whether a subscription is active, and which plan), and the app and device diagnostics needed to run that service, such as the app version and the operating system. What reaches us is the entitlement, not your name and not your payment details. RevenueCat's ownprivacy policy covers the rest of it.
Subscribing does not create an account with us. The subscription is tied to your Apple Account, which is also where you manage or cancel it.
Usage reporting
Cutroom includes editing components built by other companies. Those components report that they ran: a device identifier, an app identifier, the component version, the platform, a call count, and a timestamp. The reports carry no footage, no audio, no captions, and nothing you typed. The credit and licence for those components are in theterms.
No account, no sync
There is no account to create and no cloud sync. Cutroom does not ask for your contacts, your location, or anything else outside the clips you hand it. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
Deleting your work
Cutroom keeps one project on the phone, including your cut decisions and caption corrections. Deleting the app deletes that project. Videos you exported into Photos stay in your library.
